this statement is false is the title, right
this paiting is very provocative
I love it
I like the composition. This painting is kind of intense! Like you want to go to her and feel like you shouldn’t be watching her at the same time. Is “This statement is false” the title?
No, I don’t really title paintings unless I have to, but it could be a title. I just thought that logical paradox went along with the image well.
Is this on a panel too? At first I thought canvas and that you had actually cut slashes into it.
Oh I hate canvas, only paint on board. My newest approach to a painting I don’t quite like or am not quite sure what to do with is to just damage it in some way. It might be mostly psychological but it somehow makes it “new” sort of a restart and I can look at it with new eyes and find a way to finish it. Those slashes, most of them, got out my ole knife. hah But then later, when they became part of the image, I just used some turp and scrubbed down through the layers of paint to make more lines.
