I was going through my art storage and was surprised to find this (and another drawing I will be posting shortly) unfinished. So I happily went back into it and refined the lines and stained the background. Materials: charcoal pencil, tea, coffee, arches watercolor paper. Size: 9″ x 11″

Really lovely, Sarah. I agree about the staining. The drawing itself is beautiful, but the stain just balanced/cohered the line work and white space perfectly.
I love the owl’s feet – so expressive.
Your sense of line is spot on.
